Frances Carol Herriman, age 87, a 3 1/2 year resident of Romeo and formerly from Lake Ann, MI. and previously from Sterling Heights, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Angelica’s Place in Romeo. Frances was born April 6, 1926 in Highland Township, Michigan, the daughter of John B. and Juanita (Tubbs) Sloyter. She married Donald W. Herriman on July 29, 1950 in Albion, Michigan. She enjoyed being a homemaker, loved to take care of her flowers, make dinner for her family & friends, loved all type of sports, especially her Detroit Tigers, and just being around her many grandchildren & great grandchildren. Frances is survived by her husband Donald, children: Robert W. of Port Charlotte, FL, Alan K.(Valerie) of Berkley, MI., Stan J.(Dana) of Gastonia, NC., Debbie J. (Joseph) McRoberts of Washington, MI., Janet R. (Gerrit) Kidd of Addison Twp., MI., and Carol S. (Michael) Verville of Groveland Twp., MI. Also survived by her sister Joanne Kline, 13 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Louie, Dorothy, & Marye. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, April 2 at 11 AM at the Washington First Baptist Church with Pastor’s Dale Peterson & Robert Laing officiating. Visitation will be from 2-8 PM on Tuesday at the Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo. Burial will take place at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Donations to the First Baptist Church of Washington or to the Alzheimers Association (Greater Michigan Chapter) would be appreciated.
