Frances T. Smith

Frances T. Smith, age 82, a 58 year resident of Romeo, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at her home. Frances was born July 1, 1928 in Detroit, the daughter of Charles and Margaret (Yurgin) Liborio. She married Ora Smith on October 18, 1952 in Warren and he preceded her in death on June 22, 1998. Frances earned her accountant degree and then worked for General Motors before getting married and moving to Romeo. In Romeo, she was the Village Treasurer for 23 years. She was also involved as a District Girl Scout Chairperson, member of the library board, and belonged to the Great Lakes Rug Hooking Guild. Frances is survived by her children: Suzanne (Ronald) Watson & Mary (Richard) Davis both of Romeo, Jean (Mark) Rosalik of Oakland Twp., John (Cathy) Smith of Rochester Hills, and James (Felicia) Smith of Wildwood, MO. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 2 great granddaughters and one great grandson along with her sister Joann (Joseph) Hunter of Oakland Twp. She was preceded in death by her sister Mary Ferguson. Inurnment took place at the Mt Vernon Cemetery in Washington Township. Arrangements by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
