Frank J. Ramirez

Frank J. Ramirez, age 82, a 10 year resident of Romeo and formerly from Detroit, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2007 at Boulevard Hills Nursing Complex in Rochester Hills, MI.  Frank was born August 17, 1924 in Detroit, the son of Justo and Ricarda (Leija) Ramirez.  Frank was currently employed as a roofer/maintenance for Ford Motor Companies River Rouge Plant which he had been employed for the last  44 years.  Frank served his country during WW II in the Marines and was a long time member of St Joseph's Catholic Church in Richmond Twp.      Frank is survived by his children:   Richard (Pam) of Caro, MI., David (Wendy) of Brighton, MI., Kathleen (Jon) Rydholm of Richmond, MI., Cris (Jim) Wagner of Minnesota, & Lori (Chris) Zapella of Almont.  Also survived by grandchildren Vincent, Christopher, Brian, John, Jenny, Kevin, Josh & Jamie along with great grandchildren Noelle, Liam, & Nathan. His one sister Celia Rodriguez survives along with one brother Fernando Leija and Frank was preceded in death by Pauline Ramirez on Aug 18, 2004, his daughter Maria Sutton Ramirez, along with many brothers and sisters.      Funeral services will take place on Monday, March 12 at 10 AM at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Richmond Twp., with Fr. McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in Willowgrove Cemetery in Armada.  Donations to Beaumont Hospice or to the American Diabetes would be appreciated.  Arrangements by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo.  Visitation will take place on Sat from 6-9 and on Sunday from 3-9 with a 7 PM Rosary.
