Frank Janicki

Frank Janicki, age 82, a 33 year resident of Deckerville passed away on October 5, 2013 at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Warren. Frank was born on August 13, 1931 in Detroit, MI the son of John and Suzanne (Okonkowski). He married Barbara Herit on November 10, 1951 at St. Lawrence in Utica, MI. Frank loved taking care of the farm, volleyball, and his family. Frank was an “Icon” in the neighborhood being known as a “nice guy”. Frank is survived by his wife Barbara of Deckerville. MI. Children Catherine Schroeder of Port Huron, David (Christine) of St. Clair, Mark (Kathie) of New Baltimore, Michael (Patricia) of Kalispel Montana, and Joseph (Jayne) of Blairsville, GA. Frank was the oldest of 7. Siblings include Suzzane Meir of Rochester, Tom (Mary Anne) of Almont, John (Agnes) of Ray Twp., Alice (Bob) of Rochester, and Steve (Debbie) of Warren. Also, 14 grandchildren and 13.5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son James in 1985 and sister Joan Redlawski in 2008. Funeral services will take place on Friday October 11, 2013 at 11 AM at St. Mary’s Our Lady of Sorrows Parish (7066 W. Main Street, Port Sanilac, MI 48469 ) with Father Jim Andres officiating. Visitation will be on October 10, 2013 from 3-8 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations to the Capuchin Retreat house (62460 Mt.
