Fred Jubera, age 84, a 35 year resident of Sterling Heights, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at St John Macomb/Oakland Hospital in Warren, Michigan. Fred was born March 15, 1926 in Willow Grove, Ohio, the son of John and Teresa (Halchak)Jabera. After serving in the Navy during WW II., Fred graduated from Ohio University with a mechanical engineering degree. Fred then started work at the General Motor Proving Grounds in Milford and worked there for many years before retiring in the early 1980’s. Upon retiring, he enjoyed golfing, stamp collecting, and spending time with his family and friends. Fred is survived by his siblings: Ann Higbee of Romeo and Nick (Vera) Jabera of Powhatan Point, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Helen Fischer, John, and Andy Jabera. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 26 at noon at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo with Stephen Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in the McCafferety Cemetery in Bruce Township, Michigan. Visitation: on Saturday from 10 till noon Services: on Saturday, June 25, 2010 at noon at the Henry M.
