Fred Krawchuk

Fred Krawchuk, age 86, a resident of Romeo since 1978, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Orchard Grove Health Campus in Bruce Township, Michigan.  Fred was born September 19, 1932 in Dearborn, Michigan, the son of Fred and Mary (Musko) Krawchuk.  He married the former Jennie Wielusz on May 9, 1964 at St Ladislaus Catholic Church in Hamtramck.    Fred graduated from the University of Detroit with his Bachelor's Degree and worked as the Credit Manager for Champion Home Builders for 22 years, retiring in 1988.  He also worked for Active Homes in Marlette until 1994.  Fred was a veteran of the United States Army. His hobbies included hockey, swimming and reading.    Fred is survived by his wife Jennie and children Fred (Mila) , Ken, Marie and Jerry along with grandchildren Caden, Kenny, and Helena Krawchuk and his nieces and nephews, Frank and Paula Krupansky, Maryanne and Gary Sarotti, Kathy Mier, Michael and Linda Krawchuk, and Elizabeth and David Esposito.  Fred was preceded in death by his sister Mary Krupansky, brother George Krawchuk, brother-in-law, Frank Krupansky and sister -in-law, Kathleen Krawchuk.   Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 11 AM at St. Clement Catholic Church of Romeo. Visitation will be from 9-11 before the mass at St. Clement Catholic Church.
