Gail A. Rasmussen

Gail A. Rasmussen, age 79 a 40 year resident of Rochester passed away peacefully at Crittenton Hospital Medical Center. Gail was born on June 14, 1938 in Ossining New York, the daughter of Archie and Harriette (Brooks) Miers. She graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in education. Gail enjoyed her career as a Special Education Teacher. She was very active with her grandchildren and loved gardening, reading, and crocheting, and she was also very active in her church. Gail is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Thomas of Rochester, her daughter Laurie Corey of Washington Township and Tom (Wendy) Rasmussen of Jackson. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Miers and a sister Suzanne Oliver. Gail had 4 loving grandchildren: Alaister, Lindsay, Brooke, and Allie. Funeral services will be held at the Romeo United Methodist Church in Romeo at 280 N. Main at 11 AM on Saturday, January 6, 2018. Visitation will be at Henry Malburg Funeral Home at 11280 32 Mile Road, Romeo Michigan 48065 on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 4-8 PM.
