Gary Gawura

Gary Gawura, age 62, a 7 year resident of the Howell, MI. area, and formerly from Romeo, passed away at St Mary's Hospital in Livonia on Sunday, January 4, 2009.  Gary was born February 24, 1946 in Everett, Washington, the son of Stephen and Alberta (Korsak) Gawura.  Gary had a Degree in packaging from Michigan State University.  He last worked for Shape Corporation in Grand Haven and formerly worked at C.S. Ohm Company in Troy.  His hobbies were sailing, woodworking, and restoring old homes.      Gary is survived by his sons,  Gregory (Molly) of East Aurora, New York, Patrick (P.J.) of Romeo and Scott of Hartland, MI.  Also survived by his parents in California and his two sisters,  Linda (Ron Maciak) Gawura of W. Bloomfield and Sandra (Tom) Magill of Walnut Creek, California.  Also survived by Kathy Newby and companion Birgit Jorgensen.  He was preceded in death by his wife's, Susan in January of 1992 and Carol on December of 1996.      Funeral services will take place on Saturday at 4 PM at the Henry M Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Rev. Mark Evans of the St John Lutheran Church of Romeo officiating.  Visitation will take place on Saturday from 11 AM4 PM, the hour of service.
