Geoffrey M. Baltzer

Geoffrey M. Baltzer, age 77, 44 year resident of Leonard, Michigan passed away on Monday, March 14, 2016 at Select Medical Hospital in Mt Clemens. Jeff was born February 14, 1939 in Detroit, the son of Arnold and Cora (Truran) Baltzer. He married Rene Baumgarten in 1963 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. He retired from the General Motors Tech Center in Warren after 39 years in 1999 as a die engineer. Jeff previously worked at Fisher Body also at the Tech Center. Upon retirement he enjoyed looking at his 2000 Corvette, watching the History Channel and especially watching old War Movies. Jeff is survived by his wife Rene, children: Geoffrey (Angela) Baltzer II of Murphy, TX., Lia (Jeff) Stinedurf of Brighton, and Lezlee Baltzer of Leonard. Also survived by his grandson Grant. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, March 19 at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo. Visitation will be on Friday from 3 –8 PM.
