George G. Vermeersch

Mr. George G. Vermeersch, 66, a 13 year resident  of Romeo. , passed away on Friday, June 6th, 2008 peacefully  at  the Romeo Nursing Center George was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 6, 1941, the son of the late  George  M. Verneersch and Leona (Biebuyck) Vermeersch. George worked as a loan officer for many years in the Macomb County area. His hobbies include fishing & hunting.  George is survived by a daughter, Lisa, wife of  John Wilson of Romeo; two sons Gary, husband of  Kelly Vermeersch of New Baltimore;  & Edward Vermeersch of Romeo; He is also survived by grandchildren Ashley, Jake, Taylor, Brittney, & Cameron.  George is also survived by two sisters, Simone, wife of  Patrick O'Connell of Sterling Heights; , Cathy, wife of  Brian Fredericks of Sterling Heights.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at St Clement Catholic Church, Romeo, at 10  AM on Tuesday, June 10th,  with Fr. Doc (Fr. John Ortman) officiating. Visitation will take place on Monday from 2-9 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo.
