Georgiana Myra Daly

Georgiana Myra Daly, age 85, a resident of Romeo passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan. Georgiana was born November 10, 1934 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Hugh & Hilda (Santo) Hocking. She married Richard W. Daly on September 1, 1956 in Lapeer and he preceded her in death on October 17, 1996. Georgiana was a true matriarch in every sense. She raised far more than her sons. She lovingly participated in the lives of many friends, with a welcoming heart and an open door. Momma Daly lived a full, fruitful existence, enjoying her family, friends, travels, church, cooking/baking/sewing, home and all of her pet companions throughout her life. Her sincerity, kindness, selfless and giving spirit touched the lives of many. Georgiana enjoyed being part of St Paul’s Episcopal Church in Romeo. She had many friends in the Romeo area that will miss her greatly. Georgiana is survived by her children: Jim of Romeo, Jeff of Redondo Beach, California, and Michael of South Bend, Indiana and grandchildren Derek, Jacob, Wayne, Jasmine, & Joshua. She was preceded in death by son Jon. Visitation will be on Friday, October 30, 2020 from 2–8. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at 10 AM with Rev. Daniel Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at the Romeo Cemetery.
