Gerald A. Baier, age 76 a resident of Romeo since 1968 and winters in Sun City, Arizona, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Village Rehab & Care Center in Armada. Gerald was born July 9, 1936 in Redford Township, Michigan the son of August and Dora (Gregorie) Baier. After serving in the Air Force, Gerald was a civilian inspector for the Government in Dover, Delaware. He then moved to Michigan and worked for many years as a purchasing agent for TACOM in Warren, Mi., until his health forced him to retire. Upon retiring, he enjoyed spending his winters in Arizona, traveling the Country, and belonging to his church family at St Clement Catholic Church in Romeo. Gerald is survived by his children: Gerald (Rachelle) Baier of Romeo, Monica (Dennis) Nido of Troy, and Michelle (Tom) Blomberg of Sacramento, California. Also survived by grandchildren Carly & Nichole Baier, Yvonne Neis of Sacremento, California, & Marcelle, Anthony, Marilyn, Benjamin, & Maria Nido all of Troy, MI. Funeral services will take place on Monday April 15 at 11 AM at St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo with burial to follow on Tuesday at 11 AM at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield. Visitation will take place on Sunday from 2-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan. A rosary by the Knights of Columbus, Council # 7018 will be recited on Sunday night at 7 PM. Malburg Funeral Home 11280 32 Mile Rd., Romeo MI 48065 Services: Monday 11 AM St. Clement Catholic Church 343 South Main St. Romeo MI, 48065 Interment: Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield 11 Am Tuesday April 16, 2013.
