Gertrude M. Lasko

Gertrude M. Lasko, age 84, a resident of Washington Township since 1960 passed away on Sunday April 28, 2019 at her son’s home in Nancy, Kentucky. Gertrude was born December 30, 1934 in Detroit, the son of Frederick & Alice (Noel) Ross. Gertrude graduated from Macomb Community College with a Registered Nurse degree and then worked for MORC for over 10 years. Upon retirement, she enjoyed oil painting, crocheting, belonging to many bible study groups, and just helping out anybody that needed help. She was well known for knitting hats for cancer patients and belonging to different Christian Church’s over the years. Gertrude is survived by her children Peter M. (Pat) and Mike W. (Lisa) both of Nancy, Kentucky; grandchildren Paul, Nick, Tasha, & Laura along with great grandchildren Veronica, Tyler, and Silas. Also survived by one brother Joseph Mayes. Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband Peter in November 2018 and sister Patsy. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with visitation on Thursday from 9:30 AM till the service starts at 11 AM. Burial will follow in the Romeo Cemetery.
