Gloria P. Patti

Gloria P. Patti, age 92, a resident of Romeo since 1960, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at her home. Gloria was born February 10, 1921 in Wright County, Missouri, the daughter of Selph & Pansy (Newton) Jones. Gloria graduated with a degree in Education from Southwest Missouri State College and earned her teaching degree. She then taught in Missouri and then moved to Mt Clemens in 1954 where she begin teaching Home Economics at Mt Clemens High School and did so for 28 years, retiring in 1982. She married Robert Page in 1945 and in 1960 married Anton J. Patti who preceded her in death in 1995. Gloria was active in her church, for many years at the First Baptist Church in Romeo and currently at Grace Baptist in Washington Township. She was also a Pilot, for many years she held her First Class Pilot’s license. Gloria is survived by her children: Ronald Page of Ann Arbor, along with step-children Joseph (Nola) Patti of Oxford, Mi., and Janet Gleeson of Camden, ME. Brother David S. Jones of Red Wing, MN Funeral services will take place on Friday at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Pastor Andy Burak of the Grace Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at the Romeo Cemetery. Donations to the Michigan Humane Society or to the Salvation Army would be appreciated. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3-8 PM.
