Godelieve M. Vandecappelle

Godelieve ( Leva) M. Vandecappelle, age 95, a Romeo resident since 1977, passed away on July 10, 2021 at American House-Livonia. Leva was born July 5, 1926 the daughter of Boudewyn and Magdalena Vanlersberghe. On March 29, 1950 in Belgium she married the late Roger Vandecappelle who preceded her in death on June 17, 2013. The consummate hostess, Leva always welcomed friends and strangers alike into her home, with no one leaving hungry or thirsty and always with a smile on their face. She was the matriarch of the family and her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. There is no one that enjoyed a lively game of cards, cooking for family and friends, or greeting everyone with open arms more than Leva. Leva is survived by her children; Marleen (Dr. Dennis) Bozimowski of Dallas, Texas; Marieanne (Jon) Trennepohl of Plymouth; and Ronnie (Pam) of Wayland, Michigan. Grandchildren: Amber Blomquist; Dr. Madeline (Dr. Rene)Vandecappelle- Alonzo; Corey (KatieVerbrugge-fiancé) Vandecapelle; and great grandchild Nora Eve Alonzo. She is also survived by two sisters Francine DeSchepper and Lutregard Vanlersberghe of Belgium. Funeral Services will take place on Friday July 16, 2021 at Christian Memorial Cemetery, Rochester Hills, Mi at 11:30 am Visitation will be Thursday July 15, 2021 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo, Mi, from 5-8p.
