Gregory Joseph Savasky

Gregory Joseph Savasky, age 69, formerly of Armada, Michigan, passed away in Romeo, Michigan with his wife at his side on September 7, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Barb; his daughters, Jennifer and Megan Savasky; his brothers Steve, Tom, Mike (Sally), and Bob (Carol) Schleichert; and sister Mary Ann (Craig) Skold; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Joseph and Emily Savasky. Greg was born in Canton, Ohio and grew up in Midland, Michigan. After graduating high school, Greg studied at Ferris State University and Western Michigan University, and earned a Bachelor of Science. He then began his career at Inductoheat, Inc., starting as a field service engineer and traveling around the world. After 30 years, he retired as manager of the Research and Development department at Inductoheat. Greg enjoyed woodworking, boating, listening to music, and the works of J. R. R. Tolkien. One of his greatest passions in life was his cottage on Forest Lake in Alger, Michigan, where he and his family spent many summers. He loved being out on the water. The Savasky family would like to thank the staff of The Legacy at Orchard Grove Health Campus in Romeo for their excellent care. Greg has been cremated. His family plans to have him interred at a later date.
