Harold A. Werderman, age 89, a resident of Hale, MI. since 1990 and formerly a lifelong Romeo area resident, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township. Harold was born in Romeo on July 1, 1929, the son of Arthur & Florence (Zielesch) Werderman. He married Marjory J. Werth on May 26, 1951 at the First Congregational Church in Romeo and she preceded him in death on February 16, 2010. Harold and his family were lifelong farmers at their farm in Bruce Township. When the M-53 (Van Dyke) expressway came through their farm, they moved to the Hale, Michigan area where they retired. Harold was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, member of the Romeo Masonic Temple Lodge # 41, and the VFW Post in Hale, MI. He enjoyed hunting and fishing at his Hale home. Harold is survived by his daughters Cynthia (Dennis) Schwark of Romeo, Diane (Dennis) Rang of Armada, and Wendy (Paul) Bowen of Dryden. Grandchildren include Kim, Tracy, Adam, Laura, Arthur, Steven and Christopher. Great grandchildren include Hunter, Hailey, Gunner, Evan, Jareth, Serenity, and Eliza. Services will take place on Thursday December 27, 2018 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with burial to follow at the Romeo Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday December 26 from 2-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home.
