Harold E. Blasius

Harold E. Blasius, age 87, a long time Romeo resident, passed away on July 13, 2015 at Troy Beaumont Hospital. Harold was born on August 3, 1927 the son of Edson and Inez (Findlater) Blasius. On April 25, 1959 he married the late Alida VanAmeyde. Harold was an test engineer for 35 years in the auto industry before retiring. In his free time he loved wood working, building things, traveling, and playing cards. He was also an avid car enthusiast. Harold is survived by his children Rod (Glenna) of Washington, Jenny (Norman) Pytleski of Lakeport, Joe (Cindy) of Harbor Springs, and Ken (Margaret) of Romeo. Grandchildren include Andrew, Michael, Tyler, Tom, Tony, Angela, Erica, Justin, Austin, Breanna, Cambria, Autumn, Kyle, Sarah, and Jason. Sister Elaine Mandenberg. He was pre deceased by his loving wife of 54 years Alida in 2013. His grandson Joe in 2012. Brother Richard and sister Lou Ellen Turnbell. Funeral services will take place on Friday July 17, 2015 at NOON with Rev. Martin Gehring officiating at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Thursday July 16, 2015 from 2-8 and July 17, 2015 from 10-NOON. Burial will follow at Bruce-Armada Cemetery.
