Harry R. Hajski

Harry R. Hajski, age 77, a 45 year resident of Ray Township, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017 at his home. Harry was born June 26, 1939 in Detroit, the son of Harry and Helen (Osiborski) Hajski. He married the former Sandra Besko in 1960 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Detroit. Harry retired from Art Van Furniture in 2006 after 38 years of employment. He worked as a furniture restorer at Art Van and taught furniture restoration for many years. Upon retirement, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and being with his family and friends. Along with his family, they were longtime members of St Isidore’s Catholic Church in Shelby Township. Harry is survived by his wife Sandra, children: Michael of Algonac, Karen (Alan) Smith of Romeo, David (Debbie) of Almont and Robert of Ray Township. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, February 2 at 10 AM at St Isidore’s Catholic Church of Shelby Township (18201 23 Mile Road, Shelby Twp., MI 48042) with Fr. Ron Victor officiating. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, February 1 from 2-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
