Helen J. Eschenburg, age 90, since 1950 on their Kidder Road farm and previously from other farms in the Dryden/Almont area, passed away at her farm on Monday, August 4, 2008. Helen was born in Dryden Twp. On January 16, 1918, the daughter of Harold and Mildred (Pickleman) Walton. She married Fred Eschenburg in July of 1936 and he preceded her in death in April of 1979. Helen was a 1935 graduate of Almont High School and was a longtime active member along with her family of the First Congregational Church in Almont. She was active with the Eastern Star of Almont and her hobbies included all type of crafts, collecting Avon Collectable's, and making maple syrup for her family & friends. Helen is survived by her children Jeanne M. (Richard) Parks of Saginaw, Don (Kathy) & Randy (Teemie) Eschenburg both of Almont. Grandchildren include Bryon, Randi Lynn, James, & Johnny Eshenburg, Kris (Steve) Kornmeier, Lisa Meissner, John (Amy) Eshenburg, Ron (Paula), Richard (Lisa) & Thomas (Deceased) Julie Regan. Also survived by 14 great grandchildren, her brother Robert (Betty) Walton of Almont and sister Gloria (Al) Kaflik of Shelby Twp. Funeral services will take place on Thursday at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo. Visitation will take place on Wednesday form 2-9. Donations to the Ferguson Cemetery Association would be appreciated.
