Herbert Casselman

Herbert Casselman, 84 passed away on January 24, 2017 at Orchard Grove Health Campus. Herbert was born on April 28, 1932 in Toronto, Canada the son of Jacob & Bessie Casselman. He proudly served in the Air Force as a crash rescue specialist. Herb worked many years at the Wayne County road commission, as well as owning party stores. He was a big animal lover who had dogs, cats, record holding race horses and even a bear cub while he was stationed in northern Canada. Herbert is survived by his children, Valena (Steve) Gawracz of Algonac, Sharon Kernya of Chesterfield, and Debbie (Jeff) Baroli of Washington Twp. Grandchildren include Michael, Matthew, Steven, and Jennifer and great grandchildren Hayden, Wyatt, and Skyler. Also survived by sister Evelyn Costalo and was preceded in death by two siblings Jack and Anne. Visitation will be on Friday January 27, 2017 from 3-8 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. Burial will be on January 30, 2017 at 11:30 at Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442)
