Herbert L. Johnson, age 81, a 3 year resident of Macomb Twp., and previously a resident of Bruce Twp. and Fraser, MI., passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2007 at St Joseph West in Clinton Twp. Herbert was born December 16, 1925 in Detroit, the son of Earl and Mildred (Sanderson) Johnson. He married Betty Curtis in 1949 at St Mark Lutheran Church in Roseville. Herbert graduated from the General Motors Apprentice Program as a Wood Model Maker. He worked in the trades from 1950 till 1985 when he retired. Herbert then worked as a Building Official with Fraser for 6 years. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge #522 in Roseville and was a WWII Army Veteran. Herbert is survived by his wife Betty of Macomb Twp. along with his children: Karen (Michael) Lang of Oakland Twp., David (Sharon) Johnson of Washington Twp., and Susan (Glen) Dempsey of Bruce Twp. Also survived by grandchildren Michael, Kristin, David, Katherine, Jennifer, Alyssa, and Justin along with his sister Marjorie Urso of TN. He was preceded in death by his sister Jeanne McQuarie. Memorial services will take place on Sunday, August 12 at 3 PM at the Community Wesleyan Church of Washington Twp., with Pastor Gary Beecher officiating. Arrangements by the Henry M.
