Irene H. Cyll

Irene H. Cyll, age 89, a lifelong Macomb County resident, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at the Evangelical Nursing Facility in Sterling Heights. Irene was born August 22, 1920 in Hamtramck, Mi., the daughter of Casmir and Angela (Kowalski) Stachurski. She married Chester Cyll on January 9, 1941 at St Ladislaus Catholic Church in Hamtramck. Along with her family, she were longtime members of St Sylvester Catholic Church in Warren, Michigan. For many years she was the High School Secretary at Hamtramck High. Her hobbies include making beet soup, reading, and watching television. Irene is survived by her daughter Charlene (Tom) Goike along with her grandchildren, Danielle and Ryan Goike all of Shelby Twp. She was preceded by her husband in 1966. Funeral services will take place on Thursday at 10:30 AM St John Vianney Catholic Church in Shelby Twp., With Fr. Jerry officiating. Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 3-9 PM with a 7 PM rosary at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. (11280 32 Mile Road, Romeo, MI 48065). Burial will take place on Thursday at 2:30 PM at the Bruce-Armada Cemetery in Bruce Township.
