Jack L. Riddle, age 93 a resident of Troy since 1974 and previously from Ferndale passed on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at the Orchard Grove Nursing Facility in Romeo Michigan. Jack was born January 12, 1928 in Highland Park, Michigan, the son of Henry and Mary (Pasco) Riddle. He married the former Thelma McGaffey on November 15, 1952 in Wallaceburg, Ontario and she preceded him in death on July 28, 2016. After serving in the Army during the Korean War, where he distinguished himself with the Purple Heart, he started working for Grand Truck Railroad where he was an operating engineer for 31 years before retiring at age 62. Upon retirement, he had more time to enjoy camping, taking care of his yard and especially his fruit trees. Jack is survived by his 3 children: Mary Huyge of Chesterfield Township, Bonnie (John) Lewis of Lapeer, and David (Karen) Riddle of Oxford, Michigan. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Jack was also preceded in death by his only brother Harry. Visitation will be private with burial at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Michigan. Donations to a C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, congestive heart defect research (300 East First Street Suit 201, Flint, Michigan 48502) would be appreciated. Local arrangements by the Henry M.
