Diana “Jackie” M. Sitek, age 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 23, 2021 in Armada, Michigan. Diana was born on March 17, 1939 in Bakersfield, CA, the daughter of Jack and Betty Brewer. Diana graduated from Grant Union High School, the class of 1957 and would go on to earn her Associates Degree. She married David Sitek on June 6, 1974 in San Francisco, CA. Diana had many hobbies including, astrology and genealogy, tracing her roots on Ancestry. She was passionate about theater and starred in many community plays, and was an amazing dancer and loved to swing dance with her granddaughter, Hannah. Diana was tech savvy, always up-to-date on the latest technology trends. Diana’s biggest accomplishment was devoting her time taking care of her developmentally disabled son, Todd, forever his advocate. Diana is survived by her two daughters: Shirley (Jeff) Frederick and Heather (Pat) Miller both of Armada. Diana is also survived by grandchildren Dustin (Nikki), Sean, Hannah, Nicholas, and Desi along with great grandchildren Henry, Theodore, and Charlotte. She is also survived by her brother Tom Waddell. Diana was predeceased by her husband David Sitek, her son Todd Sitek, and her brother, Edward Waddell Jr. Funeral services will take place at 7pm Thursday, October 28, 2021 with visitation from 4-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Armada PAL Camp P.O. Box 564 Armada, MI 48005.
