Jackie D. Herfert

Jacqueline D. “Jackie” Herfert, age 79, a 42 year resident of Washington Township, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2011 at the Shelby Nursing Center. Jackie was born October 17, 1931 in Detroit, the daughter of Don and Gertrude (Huber) Ferguson. She married William Herfert in Mt Clemens in 1968. Jackie worked as a bingo organizer for the Kidney Foundation in Sterling Heights for over 17 years. She previously worked at TRAFCO Corporation in construction and when she was younger worked for Uniroyal Corporation. Her hobby was playing bingo. Jackie is survived by her husband William, children: Roni (Morgan) Wood of Clinton Township, Ken Herfert of Berlin Twp., Keith (Julie) Herfert of Imlay City and Kevin (Kelli) Herfert of St Clair, MI. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her brother Dan Ferguson. Funeral services will be held on Friday at a time to be determined at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan. Visitation will be on Friday from 3-9 PM.
