Jacqueline Rose Salk, age 84, passed away on October 31, 2021 at St. John Hospital in Detroit, MI. Jacqueline was born on November 19, 1936 in Detroit, MI the daughter of Joseph and Rosalia (Hospadar) Kulek. Jacqueline was married to Joseph Salk of Detroit for 58 years, the love of her life. She retired as a retail clerk from Target, where she worked for many years. She enjoyed coloring, crossword puzzles, and playing lottery tickets. Jackie was loved by her family and friends for her sense of humor and storytelling. Jacqueline is survived by her daughters Robin (Alan) Piontkowski of St. Clair Shores, Kim (Doug) Sulek of Mussey Township, and sons John (Darlene) Salk of Puerto Rico, and Steve Salk of Detroit. Also, daughter in law Pamella Salk of Rochester Hills. She leaves behind many grandchildren, Jennifer (Chet) Friesen of Beverly Hills, Jeffery Salk of Detroit, Erin (John) Michie of Shelby Township, Jacob (Hillary) Salk of Texas, Emily (James) Roehm of New Baltimore, Joseph Salk of Warren, Julia Salk, Glen Salk, and Jack Salk. Also blessed with great grandchildren; Lilian, Mason, Glen, Grant, Ava, Ruth, John, Jace, Isaac, Annie, Ian, and Jay. Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Rose Kulek, husband Joseph Salk, brothers Arthur and Jerome Kulek, son Glen Salk, and daughter Teresa Salk. The family has elected not to have a ceremony at this time and will hold a private celebration of life at a later date. Local arrangements made by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo, Mi.
