James H. Cox, age 60 a 19 year resident of Bruce Twp., and formerly from Washington Twp., passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Twp. Jim was born January 25, 1948 in Sandstone, W. Virginia, the son of Russell and Arbanna (Cales) Cox. He married Karen Bohn on May 15, 1965 in St Clair Shores, MI. Jim worked for Domaien Corportation in Romeo as its manager for 15 years. He previously worked in the tool & die business in the Detroit area for many years. He served his Country during Vietnam with the 101 st Screaming Eagles. His hobbies include his dogs and his antique 1967 Pontiac Lemans Convertible & 1966 hardtop GTO. Jim is survived by his wife Karen of Bruce Twp., children: Scott (Beth) Cox of Ray Twp., Tammy (Dan) Viaene of Richmond along with grandchildren Ashley, Kyle, Jacob, Daniel, Karry-Ann, & Susan. Surviving siblings include Kevin (Gordie) of Florida, Anita (Roger) Scarrboro & Larry Cox both of Mendon, W. Virginia and Ernest Cox of S. Carolina. Jim was preceded in death by his son James P.A. Cox in 1995. Funeral services will take place on Thursday at 10 AM at St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo followed by burial at the Bruce Cemetery in Bruce Twp. Donations to the American Lung would be appreciated. Arrangements by the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5-9 and on Wednesday from 3-9 at the funeral home.
