James Henry Malburg, age 84, a resident of Queen Creek, Arizona for the last 27 years and previously from Almont, passed away on March 4, 2021. Jim, a.k.a. "Lefty," was born December 15, 1936 in Clinton Township, Michigan, the son of the late Aloysius & Luella (Cnudde) Malburg. He married Beatrice V. DeWielemacker on April 11, 1959 in Warren, Michigan and then later remarried. Jim was a dairy farmer along with his brother, Lawrence, in Almont for 13 years. He later worked at Liquid Disposal, Inc., which eventually shut down and led him to ultimately becoming a truck driver for a company in Macomb County hauling trusses all over the state of Michigan until retiring in Arizona in 1994. When not working, Jim enjoyed trail riding trips, including Wednesday rides with the Greater Queen Creek Horse Owners Association and training many horses over the years, as well as qualifying to be a member of the Southern Arizona Rangers. Jim touched so many lives. He will be remembered for his memorable smile, jokes and laugh every place he went. Even in his final days, Jim was thinking of others and donated his body to science to provide research or for specific individuals with healthcare needs. Jim is survived by his children: Nancy Stryker (Robert Conner), Linda (Eric) Wilhelm, James (Colleen) Malburg, and Kerrie Malburg. Grandchildren include Zachary (Angelica), Nicholas, Joshua (Melissa), Kasey (Garrett), Dallas, Tyler, & Autumn. Great grandchildren include Katalina, Levi, Alli & Corbin. Siblings surviving include Marlene DeSmit, Robert (Sue), Donald, & Shirley Richardson. Jim was preceded in death by his siblings, Lawrence (Marie), Bernard (MaryAnn) & Eugene. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021, 11:00 a.m., at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, 11280 32 Mile Road, Romeo, MI 48065. Luncheon to follow at the Romeo Masonic Lodge, 231 N. Main. St., Romeo, MI, 48065.
