James J. Frost

James J. Frost, 72, went to be with the Lord on October 31, 2023 with his family at his side. He was surrounded in his final days by his wife, daughters, brothers, sister, and nieces.

Jim was born March 26, 1951 in Almont, Michigan and raised in Leonard, Michigan. Jim raised his family with the love of his life Beth in Lapeer, Michigan. He worked as a precision machinist during his career.

Jim was an amazingly loving husband and father. He went above and beyond to serve “his girls” in any way he could. He was the “fun uncle” with his nieces and nephews recounting stories of how he made each of their childhoods special. His silliness and sense of humor were always sure light up gatherings. Illness marked a long period at the end of Jim’s life and yet he persevered with grit, humility, and a fun-loving spirit.

Jim enjoyed cards and spent many evenings around a card table laughing with family. He also enjoyed fishing and shooting.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Helen (Beth), and their children: Theresa (Curtis) Maxwell and Carrie Hovis (Patrick Krozek); and grandchildren Ryan Maxwell, Jennifer Maxwell, and Madilyn Krozek. Jim was preceded in death by his parents James Edward and Vera Frost.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 10-11am.

Funeral Service will begin at 11am, all will be held at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo, MI.

Burial will take place at Lakeville Cemetery immediately following the service.
