James O. Johnson

James O. Johnson, age 57 of Russell Springs, KY and formerly from Washington Twp., passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2010 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY. James was born Sept. 7, 1952 in Mt Clemens, the son of Preston and Loretta (McConnon) Johnson. James graduated from Romeo High School in 1970, then joined the United State Air Force where he served from 1972—1976. He then worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority as an electrician for over 35 years and recently retired. James is survived by his wife Geraldine, 2 children: Monica of Russell Springs, KY. and Preston of South Korea. Siblings include Anne (Nick) Koenigs of Douglas, WY., Kathy (Larry) Sofield of Sunrise, FL., and Bob (Annette) Johnson of Washington, MI. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, step-children, and their families. James was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Melissa Johnson, and a granddaughter Macy Carta. Services and burial were held August 12, 2010 at Fairview Baptist Church in Springs, KY.
