James R. Richter

James R. Richter, age 54, a 20 year resident of Romeo and formerly from the Lakeville/Leonard Michigan areas, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2015 in Romeo Michigan. Jim was born April 14, 1960 in Detroit, the son of Robert J. and Ethel (Kane) Richter. He worked as a caulker/cleaner in the construction business for many years until his health forced him to retire. His hobbies include camping, all types of sports especially Michigan Football, enjoyed being around the water and mostly just being with his grandchildren, children, and all his many friends. Jim is survived by his children: Kristy (Nick) Richter-Pietrykowski of Oxford, Naomi Richter and Taylor (Nick) Richter-Ottman both of Romeo. Also survived by his grandchildren Destiny & Carson, mother Ethel Richter of Lapeer, brother Dan (Gayle) Richter also of Lapeer. Jim was preceded in death by his wife Karen Skiba Richter, father Robert and brother Jeff. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday at 6 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo. Visitation will be also on Wednesday from noon-7 PM.
