Janet Cornelius

Janet Cornelius 84, of Shelby twp died Friday April 7,2023 in Bruce twp.

Janet worked at the D & C store in Romeo and retired from JC Penney. She was known for her baking , enjoyed knitting , crocheting and spending time in Florida with friends and extended family.

She is survived by her children Denise (Tom) Jurek, Rick (Kim ) Vallie, Greg Vallie,

Sisters, Myra Baade, Ruthann Maslar, brothers, Clyde(Betty) Hotchkiss and Dennis Hotchkiss. Also good friend, Duane Shields

Also surviving Janet are several grandchildren, great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by parents Clyde and Julia Hotchkiss. Siblings Irene Bauer, Robert Hotchkiss, Marion Pavlik and in-laws Norman Baade, Walt Bauer, Gwen Hotchkiss, Marty Maslar and Frank Pavlik.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo, MI. from 10-12pm. Funeral Service will be at Noon, also at the funeral home. Burial to follow at the Romeo Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, family would like donations sent to Hospice Care .
