Janet Marie Wiegand

Janet Marie Wiegand, age 69, resident of Addison Township, MI. passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 18th, 2023 at home with her beloved springer spaniel Penny by her side. Janet was born January 17th, 1954 in Flint, Michigan to Henry and Josephine Kalisek. Ever the creative soul, she was passionate about interior design, scrapbooking and photography. She was a global and local traveler, taking a very stylish journey to Europe with her beloved cousins as a teenager, as well as many trips with her immediate family (almost always to tropical locales) throughout her life. In December of 1989, her and her husband Frank built their dream home of her own design in Leonard to raise their two children. She loved nothing more than spoiling her kids, while still raising them with values of generosity and common sense. Though battling lifelong illnesses of varying degrees, she never stopped loving and supporting her family, and now she is free of all pain. Janet will be missed dearly by all those whose lives she touched with her laughter and her quick wit.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Josephine. She is survived by her dutiful and loving husband Frank, her two children Frank (Jaclyn) Wiegand of Rochester Hills, MI., Krista (Benjamin) Miller of Royal Oak, MI., and her beloved grandson Noah and granddaughter Abigail.
