Giovannina “Jennie†Wesolowski, age 89, a 41 year resident of Romeo, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2014 at her home. Jennie was born on September 10, 1925, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Guido) Rimi. She married her beloved husband Roman on June 12, 1954 in Anchorville, Michigan. Jennie worked for Briggs Mfg. assembling B-17 and B-29 bombers during WW II, a genuine “Rosie the Riveterâ€. Jennie was a loving mother of six children, a caring grandmother to her grandchildren and was a devoted wife to her husband. Jennie loved flowers and had a knack for creating beautiful summer gardens. Jennie is survived by her children; Lawrence of Ortonville, Gail (Dale) Brinker of Almont, Kathy of Lake Orion, David (Sharon) of Davisburg, Carol (Roger) Klein of Addison Township, and Mary (Gary) Poulos of Woodstock, Georgia. She is also survived by ten grandchildren. Jennie was preceded in death by her loving husband Roman, sisters; Virginia Pallante, Victoria LaRicca, Mary Rimi, and Josephine Cavaliere, and daughter in-law Linda. Funeral services will take place on Friday, December 19, at 10 AM at St. Clement Catholic Church in Romeo. Burial will follow the service at the Romeo Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 PM until 8 PM, with a 7 PM rosary by the Knights of Columbus, at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo. Arrangements were made through the Henry M.
