Joan Redlawski

Joan Redlawski, age 73, a 22 year resident of Almont and formerly from Romeo, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Fair Acres Nursing Home in Armada.  Joan was born August 20, 1934 in Detroit, the daughter of John and Susan (Okonkowski)  Janicki.  Joan worked for Ford Motor Company as an car upholstery sewer for the Utica Trim plant for over 10 years.  She was an active Girl Scout leader  in Romeo for many years and her hobbies include playing cards and watching her beloved Detroit Piston Basketball team.      Joan is survived by her children, Herman (Janie) Redlawski of Almont, Kim (Randy) Wade of Romeo, Gail (George) DeBruyn of Armada Twp., and Karen (Ray) Rosales of Lake Orion.  Grandchildren include Renee, Amy, Amanda, Sarah, Gina, Matthew, Joshua, & Jeremy.  Siblings include Frank (Barb) Janicki of Deckerville, Sue Meier & Alice (Bob) Mauro both of Rochester, John (Agnes) Janicki of Ray Twp., Tom (Maryann) Janicki of Almont & Steve (Debbie) Janicki of Warren.  She was preceded in death by her in-laws Frank Meier & Carol Janicki along with newphews Jim Janicki & Robert Mauro.      Funeral services will take place on Wednesday at 10 AM at St John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Allenton with Fr.
