John Edward Thorman

John Edward Thorman, age 92, a lifelong Romeo area resident passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mt Clemens, Michigan. John was born in Bruce Township, Michigan on February 23, 1927, the son of John and Ella (Striber) Thorman. He married Shirley Thomas on August 5, 1950. John served his country proud in the Army during the Korean War and then worked for over 30 years at the General Motors Fisher Body plant in Pontiac as an assembler retiring in 1976. After retirement, he did various jobs all in the Romeo area. His greatest joy in life is being with his family, hunting, & fishing. John is survived by his wife Shirley, children: Barbara (Ted) Robinson of Ray Twp., Diane (Doug) Cook of Armada Twp., Mark (Luanne) Thorman of Macomb Twp., and Mary (Dave) VanHorn of Dryden, MI. Also survived by 10 grandchildren & 11 great grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his siblings: Norm, Bob, Isabelle Klanke, and Agnes Yenglin. Local arrangements by the Henry M.
