John M. Joslin

John Melvin Joslin, 81, of Romeo, Michigan, passed away, Wednesday, March 2nd, 2016 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township Michigan.  He was surrounded by family and friends. John was born and reared in Caro, MI where he graduated from Caro High School. He was a graduate of Michigan State University, earning a BS degree in Pomology. His military service was primarily with Army Nike Missile Batteries in California.  He later joined the Michigan State Department of Agriculture, and established a home in Clarkston, MI.   Joyce and John married on Valentine’s day in 1992. They enjoyed traveling, gathering with friends, country western dancing, and enjoying many hours with children and grandchildren. John had many hobbies, including: gardening, bee keeping, carpentry, amateur radio, and reading. He canned the produce from his garden and enjoying cooking for friends. John was a member of the AARL amateur radio group, and joined the Planetary Society to further his interest in space exploration. John was loved by many, and will be sorely missed. John is survived by his wife Joyce Sanchez Joslin, son, John Americ Joslin (Rosemarie), daughter, Kara Leigh Sade (Robert), as well as Grand children Heather, Aimee, Ariel, Derek, Adam and Logann. He is also survived by step-children Laurie Whitmore, John Sanchez (Laurie), Jackie White, as well as numerous step Grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.   A celebration of life service will be held at the annual Joslin Family Gathering in August 14, 2016 in Caro, MI.  Friends may submit commentary and photographs to this website to honor John’s memory:
