John M. Mervak

John M. Mervak, age 85, a Romeo resident for the last 57 years, passed away on November 3rd, 2021 at home, spending his final days surrounded by his family. John was born at Hutzel Hospital on July 18th, 1936 to John T. and Maria (Ulicny) Mervak. John was married to the love of his life, Patricia, in 1959 until her death in 1989. John was an engineer at Fetz Engineering Company for 40+ years, where he retired in 1999. He enjoyed traveling anywhere up North and to West Virginia. After retirement, John loved getting coffee with friends in Romeo and spending time with his grandchildren. John is survived by his daughters; Laura (Chris) Gaechter of Dexter, Doreen (Michael) Potyok of Warren, and Susan (Michael) Fiscus of Washington. Grandchildren: Alexander, Abby, William, Daniel, Nicholas, Evan and Matthew. Funeral Services will take place on Saturday November 6, 2021 at 10am at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church ( 343 S. Main St. Romeo). Visitation will take place on Friday November 7, 2021 from 4-8pm at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home in Romeo, MI. Burial will take place at the Romeo Cemetery
