John R. Medaugh

John R. Medaugh, age 76, a 49 year resident of Washington Twp., passed away on Friday, June 21, 2013 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. John was born July 28, 1936 in Detroit, the son of Russell L. and Angela (Trosteide) Medaugh. He married Mary S. Felton on May 3, 1958, in Springfield, Missouri and she preceded him in death on November 9, 2011. John, along with his wife Mary and family, owned & operated “Medaugh’s of Romeo” a womens clothing store, from 1960-1992. John and his family were lifelong members of St. Clement Catholic Church of Romeo. John’s hobbies included golfing and watching his many grandchildren grow up and all their sporting activities. John served his country proud while in the Army as a supply clerk. John is survived by his wife Carol Leonard; children: Mark Medaugh of Lennox, Twp., Chris (Maribeth) Medaugh of Imlay City, MI, Jennifer (Dr. Stephen) Dowell of Carrollton, OH, Paul (Jennifer) Medaugh of Ray, MI, Amy (Kevin) Barrett of Richmond, MI, John (Leesa) Medaugh of Rochester Hills, MI, and Anne (Jason) Dunn of Bardston, KY. Also survived by 26 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and his brother Richard of Oxford, MI. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, June 25 at 11 AM at St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo with burial to follow at the Bruce-Armada Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
