John S. Birch

John S. Birch, age 80, a 25 year resident of Romeo, passed away Friday, November 1, 2024 at Corewell Troy Beaumont Hospital. John was born April 9, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Europe Stafford and Helen (Fish) Birch.

John graduated from Cass Tech High School, then got a job at Chrysler, working his way through, and retiring as an Inspector. John enjoyed maintaining his property, picking up sticks and driving his golf cart.

John is survived by his daughter Joelle (Randy) Roosa of Romeo, sister Linda Merritt, and nieces and nephews, Steve (Gretchen) Merritt and family, Brian (Ruth) Merritt and family, Jeff (Melissa) Merritt and family, and Wendy Whitelaw and family. John is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Birch in 2019.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, with burial at White Chapel Cemetery.
