John Spanske, age 57, a lifelong Romeo area resident, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan. John was born July 21, 1963 in Highland Park, Michigan, the son of Don and Stella (Orloski) Spanske. John graduated from Romeo High School in 1981, then served his country in the Air Force. After the Air Force, John started working with his family construction business, “Spanske’s Builders” of Romeo. After working construction, John worked for Chrysler at its Sterling Stamping plant where he had over 25 years of employment. When not working, John enjoyed being at his cabin in Gladwin, fishing and just being outdoors. Along with his family, they were long time members of St Clement Catholic Church, belonged to the Secord Lake Eagles group in Gladwin, and helped the Washington Township Lions with their projects. John is survived by his children: Adam of Commerce Township, and Amy & Lauren both of Rochester, MI. Also survived by his parents, Don & Stella of Bruce Township, and siblings: Roger (Joy) Spanske, Allen Spanske, Pat (Larry) Jaroslawski, Denise (David) Bull, & Nancy Sorenson. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with visitation on Monday from 2-8 PM. **Please note that Michigan law permits a maximum of ten visitors in the visitation room at one time, and a face mask is required to enter the funeral home and church.***
