Joris Nuytten

Joris Nuytten, age 87, a resident of Washington Township, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021. Joris was born November 8, 1933 in Lichtervelde, Belgium, the son of Peter & Georgena (Hoste) Nuytten. In 1959 Joris married the former Delphine Uchwat and they were married till January 27, 2020, when Delphine passed away. After graduating from the University of Detroit Dental school in 1958, Joris worked as a dentist from 1959 till retirement in 1997. Upon retirement, Joris enjoyed working in his yard, watching TV, reading the newspaper, and just being outside to enjoy his yard & nature. Joris is survived by his 3 children: Mark (Donna) Nuytten of Sterling Heights, Karen (Rick) Furtah of Kingsley, MI., and Laurie (Tom) Goral of Oxford, MI. Also survived by 2 grandchildren: Joseph & Marcus Goral. Funeral services will take place on Thursday at 10 AM at St Clement Catholic Church in Romeo. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan.
