Joseph P. Murray

Joseph P. Murray, age 75, a resident of northern Macomb County since 1989, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019 at his daughters home. Joseph was born on August 26, 1943 the son of Clement and Mary (Mulligan) Murray. From a very young age, Joseph was a quiet, hardworking, exceptional athletic child. Later in his life he became a dedicated coach and mentor to his children. He endured long hours of work, mind numbing family trips, late hours of musicals, and countless hours of community church where he volunteered. All of his children believe whole heartly that he enjoyed every moment with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. The best thing about Joe’s character was his unconditional love and affection to his bride of 52 years Anna. Joseph was a long time member of St John & Paul Catholic Church where he helped out in many capacities. Joseph is survived by his loving children; Jinnean Morris, Renee (Scott) Becker, and Tiffany (Todd) Lambert all of Washington Township and Shawn (Tiffany) Murray of Owasso, Oklahoma. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Brothers and sisters; Clement (Diane), Francis (Catherine), Steven (Nancy), Michael (Lori), Mary Sheil, and Rose Devaney. Joseph was predeceased by his loving wife Ann, Brother Anthony (Gladys) Murray, and brother in law Donald Sheil. Funeral services will take place on Monday, July 22, 2019 at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home with Peter S. Nickel officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 21, 2019 from 2-8 at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (501 St Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105).
