Joseph W. Ayotte, age 61, passed away on January 4, 2020 in Caseville, Michigan. Joseph was born on February 20, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan. He attended Romeo High School, graduating in 1976. Joseph married Ann Kaupp on June 14, 1980 in Almont, Michigan. Joseph joined the Navy in 1980, and retired in 2000 as a Cook/Chief Petty Officer E-7, the “mess specialist”. Joseph also obtained his Bachelor’s Degree of Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales. He enjoyed making ice sculptures, coin collecting, playing poker, woodworking, and making pastries. Joseph is survived by his wife Ann of Almont, sons Keith of Virginia, Matthew of Virginia and Brian of Virginia, as well as siblings Cathy Chavez of Michigan, Marie (Pat) Glenday of Michigan, and Carey (Veronica) Gilbert of Nebraska. Funeral services will take place on Friday, January 10, at 1:00 P.M. with Steve Hoffa officiating at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home (11280 32 Mile Road, Romeo Michigan 48065). Visitation will take place on Friday, January 10, from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M..
