Joy Ann Clifton

Joyce Ann (Emerich) Clifton, age 69 of Bruce Township, Michigan, passed away on March 3, 2019. Joy was born on December 19, 1949 in Buckhannon, West Virginia to Eugene and Marguerite (Beckwith) Emerich. Joy was a 1968 graduate of Newark (Ohio) High School. On March 25, 1972 she married her high school sweetheart Adam L. Clifton. Joy loved spending time with her family, traveling, gardening eating and shopping for her grandchildren. She was known for her love of holidays and her annual Christmas Eve celebration. Joy had a passion for accounting and bookkeeping, and worked in banking and more recently the family business. Joy is survived by her husband of 47 years, Adam and their three children; Michelle (Dan) Swallow of Tecumseh, Adam (Amy) Clifton of Washington Township, Melissa (Paul) Romano of Armada. She is also survived by her 7 seven cherished grandchildren, Jacob, Lauren, Nolan, Joshua, Paige, Tristan and Reese. Funeral services will take place on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 10 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Mabry officiating. Visitation and a celebration of life will take place on Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 3- 8 PM.
