Joyce A. Rott

Joyce A. Rott, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at the Sanctuary at Bellbrook in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Joyce was born September 11, 1926 in Detroit, the daughter of Benard & Florence (Lynch) Reed. She married George Rott in 1949 and he preceded her in death in 1975. Joyce, for many years was an educational aide with the Rochester Elementary School system and retired in the late 1980’s. Upon retirement, she enjoyed painting and being with many friends and family. Joyce is survived by her children: Dan (Barb) Rott of Romeo, Ralph (Rena) Rott of Macomb Twp., Keith Rott of Brown City, Bonnie (Frank) Scherr of Romeo and Dennis (Joyce) Rott of Rochester, MI. Also survived by grandchildren Kim Morales, Stephanie (Troy) Rossi, Adam (Coral) Rott, Christopher Rott, Heather Rott, Dustin (Lauren) Scherr, Graham Scherr and Zachary Scherr. Also survived by two great grandchildren Myles Caughey & Finley Scherr. Funeral services will take place at Sunday, February 7 at 1:30 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan. Visitation will be on Saturday from 4-8 and on Sunday from noon till 1:30 PM at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place on Monday at 10 AM at Cadillac Memorial Gardens in Clinton Township, Michigan. Donation to the Sanctuary at Bellbrook or to dementia research would be appreciated. A luncheon will follow the service at Bonnie Sherr's home here in Romeo.
