Joyce E. Luscomb

Joyce E. Luscomb, age 81, a lifelong Romeo area resident, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township. Joyce was born April 28, 1931 in Detroit, the daughter of Charles and Gladys (Newberry) Thompson. Joyce worked as a bookkeeper for the Church of Christ in Ray Township for many years till the church moved. Her hobbies included doing genealogy of the Romeo area and reading. Joyce is survived by her two daughters: Margaret A. (Philip K.) Ellis along with their children Bret P. (Tracy) Ellis and Nicole E. Ellis all of Carpentersville, IL. and Elizabeth A. Czerwinski of Romeo. Joyce is also survived by her great granddaughter Olivia Ellis and sisters: Fran Thompson of Florida and Diana Soule of Imlay City. She was preceded by her husband Alfred Wells Luscomb on February 24, 2002. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11 AM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home of Romeo with Pastor Eric Majeski of Grace Lutheran Fellowship of Bruce Township officiating. Burial will follow in the Romeo Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Friday from 2-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
