June P. Jewell

June P. Jewell, age 93, a 25 year resident of Grayling, MI., and formerly a longtime resident of Armada, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at the Armada Rehab & Care Center. June was born July 15, 1919, the daughter of Harold and Georgina (Ramsey) Whittaker. She married Lyle Jewell and he preceded her in death in 1989. June worked for over 20 years as a cook in the Armada School System before retiring and moving to the Grayling area. She belonged for many years to the Armada Congregational Church, the Eastern Star of Richmond, and she loved to cook and keep her house spotless. June is survived by her sons: Dennis (Lynda) Jewell of Clinton Township and Bob Jewell of Grayling. Also survived by 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, along with her sister Ruth Cameron of Richmond. Memorial visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 3 from 2-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan. Services will take place on Thursday at 11 AM at the Christ United Methodist Church. (34385 Garfield Road, Fraser��" between 14 & 15 Mile Road).
