Karen A. Cox

Karen A. Cox, age 74, a resident of Brown City Michigan and previously a 30 year resident of Bruce Township, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at McLaren Lapeer Hospital. Karen was born November 24, 1947 in St Clair Shores, Michigan, the daughter of Pius and Francis Bohn. She married James Cox on May 15, 1965 and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2008. Karen loved to take care of her home and her flowers, loved the Christmas Season, going shopping and being with her many dogs over the years. Karen is survived by her children Tammy (Dan) Viaene of Brown City and Scotty Cox also of Brown City. Grandchildren include Jacob (Joy) Viaene, Ashley (Jeremy) Mestell, Daniel Viaene, Karry-Ann (Alex) Viaene, Kyle Cox, and Susan (Patrick) Viaene. Karen is also survived by her sister Dawn (Dale) Menzel of Mayville, Michigan. She was also preceded in death by her son James P.A. Cox in 1995. Funeral services will take place on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 10 AM at St Clement Catholic Church of Romeo (343 S. Main, Romeo Michigan 48065) with burial to follow at the Bruce Cemetery in Bruce Township, Michigan. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3-8 PM at the Henry M. Malburg Funeral Home, Romeo Michigan
